Job Description: We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to analyze, design, develop, maintain, and improve business processes and corresponding software applications. This role involves working according to user needs for the assigned area and providing guidance and mentorship to others in technical aspects.
Responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and maintain business software applications within specified time frames. * Utilize independent judgment to create technical solutions by interpreting business requirements and strategy. * Provide ongoing support, mentoring, and training for internal customers, team members, and IT. * Test and debug application systems to ensure accuracy, standards compliance, and acceptable response times. * Document application systems and procedures, including test scripts, maintenance, process, training, and customer documentation. * Lead efforts involving moderate to complex projects, often giving direction to other team members and working with outside technology vendors as required. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent experience. * 5-7 years of experience in a programming/development environment. * Proficiency in operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows Server) and languages (SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Developer, Java, HTML, XML, .Net). * Experience with applications such as Oracle Enterprise Applications, Lawson, Kronos, Prescient, and MS Office Suite. * Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, organizational, communication, and project management skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively to analyze complex assignments and create solutions. Additional Information: * The company is undergoing an ERP modernization, transitioning from legacy Oracle systems to SAP and other cloud solutions. * The role requires strong SQL, PL/SQL, and .NET skills, with a focus on supporting the finance team. * Remote candidates are welcome, but technical skills are prioritized. * The interview process includes an initial screening and panel interviews with the finance IT team. * The company has previously hired both local and remote candidates. * There is one internal candidate under consideration, but their technical skills may not perfectly align with the role's requirements. * The expected salary range for the position will be provided. * A call will be scheduled next week to review candidate profiles. * Although the company is not currently doing a lot of hiring, they anticipate increased needs in the next 2-5 years due to the ERP modernization. * The role will support the finance team with data and process improvements and potential new system implementations. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
