Lead Excellence as a Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager!

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for maintenance management, engineering leadership, and operational excellence? Staffmark is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager to drive reliability, efficiency, and innovation within our manufacturing facility in Avery Island, LA. This direct-hire role offers competitive compensation, up to $145K annually, plus exceptional benefits and growth opportunities.

Schedule & Compensation:

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 annually

Employment Type: Direct Hire

What You'll Do:



  • Develop and implement strategic maintenance and engineering plans to enhance plant performance.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifespan.
  • Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost reduction, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance for equipment installation, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment failures.
  • Develop and lead training programs to enhance the skill set of the maintenance team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and new product development.
  • Manage maintenance and repair budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.



What You Need to Succeed:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent Operations Management experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in maintenance and engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience with responsibility for engineering, maintenance, and department budgets.
  • Expertise in reliability engineering, predictive maintenance, and process improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, from hourly employees to executives.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and work in a hands-on industrial setting.
