Job Tittle: Desktop Support (ONSITE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with 12 to 14 years of experience in Desktop Support for a hybrid remote work model. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role involves overseeing desktop support operations ensuring seamless IT services and contributing to the companys overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the desktop support team to provide exceptional IT services to end-users.
  • Oversee the daily operations of desktop support ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Provide expert guidance and support for complex technical problems.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all desktop support activities.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and maintain IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for desktop support processes and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze desktop support metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices for desktop support to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor junior team members to build a strong and capable support team.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary hardware and software.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep the support team informed.
  • Manage and prioritize support requests to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in desktop support with 12 to 14 years of experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Show proficiency in remote desktop support tools and technologies.
  • Have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts.
  • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work effectively in a hybrid remote work model.
  • Hold relevant certifications in desktop support or IT management.
  • Have experience in developing and maintaining support documentation.
  • Show the ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize multiple support requests.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

Certifications Required

CompTIA A+ Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until April/4/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $37,804 to $86,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
