HRI and IA Construction are seeking an experienced Corporate Equipment manager to oversee our plants and equipment in our Central/Western PA region. Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Corporate Equipment Manager to help optimize the value and control the costs of the Company's Plants and Equipment. This position reports directly to the Director of Plants and Equipment and will be based out of either our State College, PA or Franklin, PA office
Main Responsibilities
- Advise in purchase and maintenance of assets.
- Coordinate the maintenance teams within the company.
- Working with Managers, establish long-term needs for investment in Plants and Equipment.
- Evaluate whether to replace, repair, rent, divest equipment.
- Coordinate cost and completion of the renovation projects.
- Develop HRI's image and promote innovations.
- Optimize the use and cost of energy used throughout the company.
- Lead all aspects of equipment and accounting and recordkeeping.
- Promote and organize training and communication throughout the company.
- Due diligence of assets involved with new acquisitions.
Reliability And Process Improvement
Reliability Analysis: Conducting analyses to assess the reliability of construction equipment and systems, identifying potential failure modes and their effects. Preventive Maintenance Planning: Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery. Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering and analyzing data on equipment performance and maintenance history to identify trends and areas for improvement. Root Cause Analysis: Investigating equipment failures to determine root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaboration: Working with other engineering teams, maintenance personnel, and operators to ensure proper use and care of equipment. Performance Monitoring: Monitoring equipment performance using reliability metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure that machinery operates efficiently. Training and Support: Providing training and support to maintenance staff and operators on reliability practices and procedures. Compliance and Standards: Ensuring that equipment and maintenance practices comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations. Budgeting and Cost Control: Assisting in the development of budgets for maintenance activities and evaluating the cost-effectiveness of reliability initiatives. Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Education and Requirements
- B.S. or equivalent experience in mechanical, industrial or civil engineering strongly preferred.
- 8-10 yrs prior experience in manufacturing and construction equipment preferred.
- Ability to compile, process, and analyze large amounts of data and convert into information to help make business decisions.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Work with the utmost concern for safety for self and others.
- Management training or experience in asphalt, aggregate, terminal plants and/or road construction operations.
- Strong business and financial savvy.
- Strong digital literacy including excel, word, outlook, power point etc.
