Job Summary:
Along with other assigned tasks, the hotel housekeeping lead serves as a lead worker in in the housekeeping department and is responsible for overseeing and assisting with training of staff. Prepares daily work assignments and any major duties or tasks of the day. Provides support to and assists housekeepers with room cleans, issues supplies / equipment, stripping / removal of dirty items from checkouts, and inspects work of employees and reports any issues to management. Maintains stock and organization of housekeeping closets and storage. Responsibilities: Cleans and attends to guest's needs in rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and replacing amenities. Stocks supplies and reports damages/repairs to supervisory staff and cleans building common areas.

The Wisconsin Union is a financially self-supporting division of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Financial support for the organization is provided by income earned by over thirty food service units and a variety of nonfood units such as games, guest rooms, space rentals and campus vending. Substantial support is also provided by student fees. The total annual organizational budget is approximately $60 million dollars.
