What You'll Do:

  • Learn and Grow:Get training and help from experienced technicians to do routine tasks and scheduled maintenance.
  • Hands-On Experience:Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery using different tools.
  • Safety First:Learn and follow safety rules to keep everyone safe, including machine operation and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Team Collaboration:Share information clearly with your supervisor and team members.
  • Troubleshooting:Learn how to find and fix problems.
  • Tool Proficiency:Get to know hand tools and power tools, and bring your own tools as needed.
  • Technical Reading:Learn to read and understand basic machine diagrams.
  • Organization:Keep parts and materials organized in their proper places.
  • Physical Tasks:Lift, move, push, pull, carry, and handle materials weighing up to 20lbs often and up to 50lbs alone.
  • Team Player:Be a positive team player and support management goals.
  • Learning and Development:Be willing to learn and work with other departments to help everyone succeed.
  • Additional Duties:Do other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Good with tools and eager to learn.
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
  • Willing to learn how to safely use hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, presses, cordless drills, clamps, and other small tools.
  • Eager to learn how to use measuring tools with high accuracy (0.001") to check machine parts.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and troubleshooting equipment is a plus.
