Locations: Tewksbury or Lynn Massachusetts *About the Role:* We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to join our team! The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for clients, employees, and visitors, while ensuring food quality and mealtime schedules are met. *Key Responsibilities:* * Follow or plan a weekly menu of well-balanced meals that meet USDA requirements for taste and temperature. * Prepare appetizing, healthy meals and snacks to meet scheduled meal times. * Inspect food for quality and quantity before serving. * Prepare meals for special events and holidays. * Implement measures to minimize food waste. * Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to sanitary guidelines as directed by the local board of health. * Open and close the kitchen, ensuring proper storage of food items. * Collaborate with the program director to order and maintain supplies. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with food suppliers. * Attend regular supervision meetings with your direct supervisor. *Qualifications:* * Prior experience in food preparation or service is often preferred * Certification in food handling and safety practices (such as ServSafe) is highly preferred * High School Diploma or GED required. *Schedule:* Full Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift *Why Join Us?* At our organization, we value the contribution of every team member.
