*Credentialing Specialist*
*Location: *Fairfield, CA *Work Environment:* Onsite, Monday - Friday | 8am - 5pm (flexible start times at 7:30am/8:30am) *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* * Perform credentialing and re-credentialing activities according to policies and procedures. * Send forms and related documentation, track and follow-up to ensure timely return of information. * Gather information, research discrepancies, and scrutinize documents for consistency and accuracy. * Monitor healthcare practitioners' licensing boards and federal and state reporting sites. * Review comprehensive written documents and write concise, accurate summaries. * Prepare and maintain files ensuring all documentation meets standards to demonstrate policies and procedures are followed and decisions are documented. * Educate providers on the completion of forms and required submissions. * Prepare a variety of reports and templates using Word and Excel. * Enter data into several databases. * Respond to telephone inquiries. *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * 1-2 years of credentialing experience or 2-3 years of experience with verifying insurances or working with benefits. * Medical Terminology. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in multiple software applications such as Microsoft Office. * Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities. * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. * Detail-oriented with the ability to recognize vital information. * Consistently maintain high quality and production standards. * Ability to use good judgment in making decisions and handle sensitive issues with diplomacy and tact. *Employee Value Proposition (EVP): *This is a great opportunity to work with one of the biggest growing health plans in Northern California. Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
