Job Summary The manager provides leadership and coordination of the psychosocial team and programs (known as CAMP KEMO Programs) at Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. This job is essential in the growth and development of Camp Kemo Programs, as well as, the continued growth of the Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program at Prisma Health Midlands Children's Hospital.
Essential Functions

Provides effective leadership by coordinating Camp Kemo Programs via management of Camp Kemo Programs: staff screening and training, accreditation, credentials, legal liability coverage of camp and camp activities; financial management and budgeting of all Camp Kemo Programs accounts. Serves as Director of Camp Kemo Programs executive board. Develops and implements department budget including processes to monitor operational and capital costs. Assesses and improves the department's performance by designing operational processes, monitoring performance through data, analyzing the data, implementing sustainable performance improvement, and participating in multi-disciplinary inter-departmental PI activities. Manages information by providing information systems and data management for department operations and performance improvement. Provides strategic oversight of department psychosocial services and ensures integration within their department, with other departments, and with the hospital's primary functions. Develops fundraising initiatives that support Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders programs benefitting patients and families, including psychosocial, research, and clinical care by formulating new/innovative philanthropic models, plans, and presentations. Attend and serve as liaison 3rd party events that directly support CAMP KEMO Programs and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Develops/plans events for Childhood Cancer and Sickle Cell Disease Awareness month. Serve as liaison between Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders and Prisma Health Foundation. Develops annual impact report to share with stakeholders. Works alongside marketing team to develop marketing materials from the Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders service line as well as Camp Kemo Programs. Serves as the direct point person for Camp Kemo Programs and the Cancer and Blood Disorders patient population with the expectation in meeting all new families and maintaining relationships with current and past patients/families. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities
Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in a health or science related field of study. Experience - Three (3) years of experience in healthcare related field including experience with program and event planning/implementation, fundraising, and budget management.
