A Brief Overview

This position provides technical support for research activities within Dr. Stephan Grupp's lab. The Research Technician II will work independently and as part of a team to conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and process samples for the CAR-T Biobank. This role involves applying advanced technical skills, scientific knowledge, and independent problem-solving abilities to contribute to ongoing research projects. Experience in aseptic mammalian tissue culture is required. Familiarity with multi-color flow cytometry and ELISA, and handling and specimen collection skills are strongly preferred. A 2-year commitment is required.

What you will do

  • Prepare reagents, solutions, and media.
  • Conduct a variety of research laboratory experiments according to established protocols using human-derived tissue samples and may require mouse handling.
  • Process patient samples for cryopreservation in Biobank.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using appropriate software and make concise written and oral presentation of results.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate and detailed laboratory records.
  • Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and regulations.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required
  • Associate's Degree Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of related classroom experience or successful completion of a technical training program (eg. Wistar, WPSI) and research laboratory experience Required
  • At least two (2) years of related classroom experience or successful completion of a technical training program (eg. Wistar, WPSI) and research laboratory experience Preferred
  • Experience in aseptic mammalian tissue culture Required
  • Familiarity with multi-color flow cytometry and ELISA Preferred.
  • Mouse handling and specimen collection skills Preferred
