About the Opportunity: We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team in Stuart, FL. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components. This position requires a strong understanding of precision machining, aerospace industry standards, and continuous improvement methodologies. Location: Stuart, FL On-Site Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to meet production goals, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Create and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning and other machining operations.
- Develop tooling and fixture designs to enhance machining efficiency and precision.
- Provide hands-on support to machinist and operators for troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Collaborate with other MFG Engineers to ensure manufacturability and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality or process-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Utilize lean manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies to drive efficiency and process control.
- Prepare and maintain detailed manufacturing work instructions, routings, and process documentation.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
- Participate in audits and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage manufacturing projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and procurement, to achieve project goals.
- Evaluate and recommend new tooling, equipment, and technologies to improve machining capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace machining environment.
- Proficiency in CNC machining, programming, and set up.
- Knowledge of GD&T and aerospace standards.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software- preferably Siemens NX
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent communication skills and project management skills.
