Group/Division

The SensArray division is the world leading provider of in situ processing measurement and control solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides measurement and control solutions to both semiconductor fabs and mask shops to ensure that yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing SensArray business unit is dedicate to support customer R&D phase as well as HVM with in-situ thermal process control. SensArray business unit enable APC (Automated Process Control) to improve process optimization and yield improvement.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Role Description: Join our dynamic team as a Product Development Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role throughout the product life cycle. Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovate: Develop next-generation energy storage devices.
  • Design: Contribute to new product design, material selection, packaging structure development, and process development.
  • Test: Chip in to prototype testing by offering insightful feedback on test plans and conducting hands-on experiments to ensure new product performance meets expectations.
  • Implement: Lead all aspects of the production of new products on the manufacturing line.
  • Document: Create documentation for the manufacturing transfer of new products.
  • Improve: Participate in efforts to enhance manufacturing yield and reliability.
  • Support Quality: Analyze data, document findings, and address quality issues.
  • Solve: Diagnose and resolve issues for existing and new products.
  • Collaborate: Work with manufacturing and quality teams to identify root causes of manufacturing excursions, including those related to thin film deposition processes, packaging processes, and manufacturing tools.
  • Improve: Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Educational background in material science, mechatronics or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Engage across all levels of the division, customers, suppliers, and functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic scripting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electrochemical systems testing.
  • Knowledge of 8D methodology.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years related experience; or Masters Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Base Pay Range: $114,100.00 - $194,000.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.
