Job Description

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing team! In this role,you will be responsible for conducting business, data, requirements, and process analysis within the Financial Systems team and implementing process improvements.You will be within the Finance department and will report directly to the Manager, Financial Business Intelligence.Your key responsibilities will include performing data analysis for financial and technical data, analyzing and maintaining processes, working with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements, evaluating practices for potential improvement, and conducting ad hoc analysis for audits, data migrations, and projects.Your core competencies include strong analytical skills, attention to detail, an understanding of process improvement, financial and business knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills.

As a Business Analyst, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for analyzing financial and technical data, and presenting the results in a logical, high-quality output.
  • Conductdata and process analysis, develop requirements for reporting and data needs that can be leveraged by report developers, and maintaining documentation and financial systems related processes
  • Partnerwith stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and translating those into quality technical requirements
  • Troubleshootand resolveprocess and data related issues
  • Evaluatedata from systems migrations to ensure quality and highlight any anomalies
  • Createand maintaindocumentation for reporting, requirements, and processes
  • Additional responsibilities in support of financial systems are required for various projects such as data warehouse migrations, QA testing, and data integrity assurance initiatives
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in business analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance and / or telecommunications
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in process improvement and documentation
  • Experience with major data migrations involving both business and IT stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams to prioritize and achieve results
  • Attention to detail that translates into strong analytical results and problem-solving
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Experience working on requirements for Power BI reporting and SQL data extracts
