Sonepar Management Group (SMG) supports our Sonepar brands (i.e. operating companies) in the US through a shared services model. These services include, but are not limited to: human resources, finance, digital enterprise, supply chain, vendor relations, marketing, legal, and communications. The SMG teams enable our brands to do business in their local regions while taking advantage of the scale and collective resources of a global enterprise. The Corporate Income Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the income tax provision and compliance function at Sonepar. They are responsible for the development and training of junior staff members. They will work closely with the Income Tax Director and VP of Tax to develop and implement strategies for tax planning. They are responsible for reviewing workpapers prepared by the income tax team to ensure they are in accordance with Federal, State, and Local tax laws. They will work to identify areas of improvement to increase the efficiency of the tax department. They will research and prepare summaries of current and proposed tax laws, regulations, and technical tax memorandums, and be prepared to brief management on the impact these tax regulations have on the organization.
