Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired only in NC, VA, NJ, AZ. **Remote with ability to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina, Phoenix, Arizona or Morristown, New Jersey, on an as needed basis. Position Overview: The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing execution of the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of the organization's IAM program. This role manages a team focused on authentication, authorization, directory services, privileged access, and identity lifecycle management across enterprise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, deep IAM expertise, and a passion for driving secure, scalable, and user-friendly access solutions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Assist with defining and executing the IAM strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Set priorities for team deliverables and long-term roadmap planning.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IAM professionals including engineers, ops support, and analysts. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Program Oversight: Oversee the delivery and operational excellence of identity services such as SSO, MFA, PAM, directory services, JML (Joiner/Mover/Leaver) processes, and federation across internal and external systems.
- Technology and Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance IAM systems and processes through automation, modernization, and policy updates.
- Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, HR, and application teams to ensure IAM capabilities meet business needs and integrate effectively into broader IT systems.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure IAM policies and controls meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Support audit activities and implement remediation plans as needed.
- Metrics and Reporting: Define and report key IAM performance and compliance metrics. Use data to continuously improve IAM service delivery.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Information Security or Technology OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Information Security or Technology Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or certifications specific to IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint) are strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of identity protocols and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OIDC, LDAP, SCIM).
- Proven experience managing IAM programs at scale in hybrid or cloud environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, lead teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
