Grade T32 Learn more about the "T" salary structure here: https://careers.temple.edu/sites/careers/files/documents/T_Salary_Structure.pdf Position Summary Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Senior Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement (SAVPIA) will have direct responsibility for Principal Gifts, Gift Planning, Schools and Colleges Giving, Academic Priorities including Libraries, Ambler Campus, and University Scholarships, Central and Regional Fundraising, and Corporate & Foundation Relations. The SAVPIA will also serve as the deputy Vice President with overall responsibility for the division in the absence of the Vice President and as assigned. The SAVPIA will be a strategic leader in the division, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-net-worth individuals and institutional donors, ensuring alignment with Temple's highest priorities. This incumbent will work closely with the President, Board of Trustees, university leadership, and deans to understand university and local priorities to develop strategy alignment while building strong, collaborative relationships that allow for overall success. The SAVPIA will be an experienced leader who can develop and articulate a vision and strategy that mobilizes advancement colleagues to drive major philanthropic investments in Temple University. Temple University is preparing to launch its Temple 150 Capital Campaign, a historic fundraising initiative to shape the university's future. The Senior Associate Vice President for Principal Gifts and University Initiatives will play a pivotal role in this transformational effort, providing strategic leadership for the university's principal and transformational gift programs. Will perform other related duties as required. Requirements/Qualifications * Minimum of 15 years of experience in advancement, fundraising, or a related field, with a proven track record of securing seven-, eight-, and nine-figure gifts. * Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. * Extensive experience leading principal and transformational gift programs within a complex institution. * Deep understanding of gift planning, estate planning, and blended giving strategies. * Demonstrated ability to engage and solicit high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, and foundations. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop high-performing teams. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
