JOB TITLE: MATERIAL CONTROL INTERN

DEPARTMENT: SUPPLY CHAIN

REPORTS TO: MATERIAL CONTROL SUPERVISOR

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

STATUS: PART-TIME

Job Summary:

Internship position assisting in material accountability and traceability.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist Material Control Teamwith inventory and tracking of hardware, electrical components, and metal stock ensuring inventory accuracy and material traceability from receiving, through manufacturing operations, up to shipment of finished goods.
• Perform material kitting for projects
• AssistMaterial Control team with the receiving and inspection of materials to include material certs and/or certificate of conformances.
• Assist Material Control team with ensuring adherence to AS9100, DFARS, FAR, and follow the contractual requirements for material control processes and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for SDS sheets.
• Perform additional duties as required.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing High School Education
• Possess the willingness to learn ERP Systems, improve and adapt in a quick pace environment.
• Must be willing to train for and perform forklift operation.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Deltek and MRP/ERP system.
• Working knowledge of material control practices and procedures.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, more with assistance.
• Work environment consists of various office and manufacturing settings with may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smells, and chemicals.
• Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
