Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Aberdeen, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Officer in a retail and mall environment, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will be a key factor in maintaining a secure atmosphere for patrons and staff. You will engage with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This unarmed position requires individuals who are 21 years or older, with a preference for those with CPR/First Aid certification and comfort using computers or tablets.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
