OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

The Coordinator is responsible for managing Compliance related initiatives and reporting on these initiatives to the Compliance Manager. The Coordinator tactfully and effectively communicates and collaborates with physicians, executives and other individuals both within and outside the hospital. Routinely works with sensitive or confidential information, documents and issues and treats such information in a confidential manner.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports the Department in the management, oversight and ongoing operation of the Compliance Program.
  2. Assists with implementing Compliance Program initiatives throughout the Northside system.
  3. Coordinates and participates in compliance and process improvement projects utilizing PMO strategies and guidelines.
  4. Employs project management methodologies for all compliance and process improvement initiatives. Develops project work plans, drives project milestones, uses PMP tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint), and helps define measurable improvement goals for each projects.
  5. Maintains and updates revisions to the Compliance Program related documents and works to create, organize and manage documents for use by the Department.
  6. Assists team members with issues, questions and research related to healthcare compliance issues.
  7. Supervises the work of assigned staff including: Compliance Analyst(s). This supervision includes overseeing the quality of work performed, evaluating performance and hiring.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. 3+ years of experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably with experience in compliance or healthcare administration.
  3. High level of proficiency with technology, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and a demonstrated ability to adapt to healthcare specific software/platforms

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  1. Master's degree
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
