Inova Clinical Ancillary Applications is looking for an Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Willow to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time day-shift from Monday - Friday.

The Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Willow will support our Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacies. The Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Willow maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Manages IT projects/products to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health System's business needs using the EpicCare system. Communicates project and team status to internal/external audiences to keep project team informed. Maintains Epic applications while facilitating updates, new releases and system enhancements. Participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility, cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova.

Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Willow Job Responsibilities:



  • Maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Participates in all phases of review and testing of new Epic application releases.
  • Assists in conducting system investigations to determine general feasibility, cost and alternative system solutions as well as potential system enhancements.
  • Serves as an applications support contact, as needed, to troubleshoot problems while incorporating end users preferences, desired reports and collecting other relative information to optimize the Epic experience.
  • Analyzes business operations as they relate to build decisions. Ensures that data coming across an interface into an Epic application meets business needs.
  • Resolves problems, communicates status and escalates issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes IT processes and stays up to date on current programming tools/methodologies.
  • Participates in ongoing maintenance of major systems while following all Change Management procedures.
  • Determines new procedures for maximizing the benefits achieved using automated systems.


Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Willow Additional Requirements:



  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; Day-Shift
  • Education: Associate's Degree; or HS Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 1 year of Healthcare Administration
  • Certification: Epic Willow Certification or proficiency or attained within six months of hire


Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Willow Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience supporting Epic's Willow Ambulatory, Willow Inventory, and Specialty Pharmacy/Compass Rose applications preferred.
  • Previous experience using Epic Willow Ambulatory as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Tech preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting multi-pharmacy systems with interfaced prescription fill systems, complex NDC cost maintenance strategies, and 340b aggregation preferred.
