*Description*
Overview: We're seeking a hands-on, tech-savvy System Deployment Specialist to assist with the physical deployment and setup of IT equipment at our Indianapolis office. This is a temporary full-time position expected to run through September 2025, with no possibility of extension at this time. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, enjoys working directly with users, and is comfortable handling and troubleshooting hardware. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth equipment rollouts, hardware check-ins, and end-user support - all critical parts of keeping our IT operations running smoothly. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: *Deploy new IT hardware: Unbox, set up, and configure laptops, desktops, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals. *User support: Assist users with initial login, Windows 11 setup, and installation of core applications. *Remote prep: Provision systems for deployment to remote field offices, ensuring devices are ready for users to complete setup with phone support from the helpdesk. *Check-ins: Receive and inspect returned or incoming equipment, diagnose issues, perform basic troubleshooting, categorize devices based on condition, and store them appropriately. *Hardware troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues for Windows 11 devices and Android tablets. Perform basic physical repairs as needed. *Shipping: Package and ship prepared equipment to remote users following company guidelines. *Documentation: Record asset information accurately in Excel and our internal asset tracking systems. *In-person support: Provide occasional in-building support for users during setups or when issues cannot be resolved remotely. ________________________________________ What We're Looking For: *Technical aptitude and eagerness to learn - prior hands-on experience with IT hardware preferred. *Familiarity with Windows 10/11 required; Android support experience is a plus. *Comfortable providing in-person technical support to users at all levels, including executives and field technicians. *Ability to work independently with partial day-to-day oversight. *Physically able to lift and move equipment up to 50+ pounds. *Familiarity with Zendesk or Dell TechDirect is a bonus but not required. *Entry-level applicants welcome if they bring strong technical curiosity and a solid work ethic. *Skills* Windows OS, Break fix, Imaging, Customer Service *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Excellent customer service and communication skills. Team player. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
