The individual is responsible for assisting patients and clients with needs associated to receiving medical care at any of the Johns Hopkins Medicine facilities. This individual's duties include providing information about Johns Hopkins Medicine, having detailed knowledge about clinical services and developing strong relationships with physicians and departments, and providing the oversight of scheduling appointments along with administrative responsibilities for the team. The Manager will spend approximately 70% of his/her time directly involved in patient care and is responsible for triaging new cases to colleagues within the team and the rest of the time supervising client specialists and managing their work performances. The individual must have a strong working knowledge of medical terminology and a comprehensive understanding of diseases and treatment options. The position involves a great deal of external customer contact, primarily with company executives, high profile individuals, royal families and prominent physicians. The individual must be confident and comfortable with this clientele, quickly able to establish trust and rapport. The individual must develop strong internal relationships with Hopkins physicians, nurses and staff. This position will work closely with Executive Health, Senior Leadership, Development Directors and their staff to provide excellent customer service to trustees, donors and prospects. Through the cultivation of these important patient and client relationships, this individual will meet on a regular basis with Development to provide approved information and insight about areas of interest (when appropriate). The individual will represent Johns Hopkins at specific client events and Development sponsored functions, to promote Johns Hopkins Medicine entities, clinical departments, physicians and services. The individual is responsible for generating and analyzing various reports on a monthly basis utilizing EPIC. The Client and Special Services Manager will be involved in department meetings and should provide leadership and mentorship to others within JHMI. Education: Required B.A. or B.S. in health care, business administration, marketing, or communications Work Experience: Seven years of related experience in a health care setting, hospitality industry and/or international business. Experience in physician interaction preferred. Proficiency in a second language is preferred Salary Range: Minimum $34.78/hour - Maximum $60.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
