See Yourself as an ECM Operations Specialist I

The ECM Operations Specialist I will perform loan file preparation, review, and upload, data entry, correction, and validation. The ECM Operations Specialist I will ensure the loan documents and data are reviewed, verified and updated with a high degree of accuracy, and completed within the specified time for the task.

This is a part time, temporary, on-demand position that must have the flexibility to work when business and volume requires.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Validates data results from system. Compares data result to the corresponding value in the loan document. Performs timely and accurate data correction as needed.

  • Performs data entry to fill missing gaps in the information provided. Updates information on documents and data fields accurately according to procedure.

  • Uploads loan files for document indexing and review if necessary. Reviews loan documents for accuracy. Updates document information in system as needed.

  • Assists the team in projects, testing, and other assigned duties. Informs management of issues and provides constructive feedback to improve quality, process, and procedures.

Job Specifications

Knowledge:

  • Experience reviewing and updating information loan documents for mortgage origination, servicing, or post-close review.

  • Background must include a good understanding of the standard Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae forms, and knowledge of the borrower income, asset, credit, and property documents.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience identifying and updating specific loan documents, attributes, and data fields typically used in the mortgage industry.

  • Ability to quickly identify fields on a document and match the value to the requested information captured from the system.

  • Proficient at using a personal computer (PC), keyboard, and mouse. Comfortable using technology and system applications.

  • Basic knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Skillful typing, a strong communication aptitude and attention to detail are essential.

  • Provides clear verbal and written communications suited for a professional business.

  • Encourages teamwork in efforts to promote a positive work environment.

  • Responds well to direction, training, and feedback.

  • Adapts well to a high-volume production operation.

  • Maintains confidentiality on non-public and client sensitive information.

  • Reads email and updates each day.

  • Accuracy records time worked on a weekly basis, daily preferred.

  • Attends meetings as required.

  • Performs all assigned tasks in a safe manner according to Company Policy.

  • Available to work additional hours on any given day with minimal notice.

Prior Work Experience

  • Technical: 1 - 3 years

  • Supervisory: None

Education and Credentials

  • Required: HS Diploma/GED

  • Preferred: Associate/Technical Degree
