Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Project Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or for a complete line of business that may be regional or national in scope, often requiring associates in one or more location
  • Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication
  • Consult with senior management in evaluating current methods and developing strategies to implement changes and improvements
  • Full management responsibility over a relatively large team and may manage one or more levels of managers
  • Support each organization within GCIB/GPS Tech
  • Enable business operations, execution and planning, including, activities and routines to support financial management, workforce and resource management, portfolio oversight, executive leadership routines, communications, employee engagement, workspace governance and organizational health
  • Communicate, influence, and negotiate both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources
  • Build a thorough understanding of the business unit's function and consult with senior management in evaluating organizational strategy
  • Lead and facilitate the execution of the day-to-day business operations of the technology organization
  • Serve as the point person for coordination of business activities including resource forecasting, requisition/hiring management (resource strategy), personnel processes, workspace governance, engagement activities, communication and articulates risks and opportunities to forecast
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly forecasting process and reporting in partnership with Finance, managers, portfolio and program managers and other business support leaders
  • Own and facilitate effective executive operating rhythms, overseeing the logistics, preparation of relevant materials and talking points for SLT meetings, business reviews, off-sites, etc.
  • Prepare Executives for the full range of engagements with peers, senior leaders and business partners (as needed)
  • Coordinate between GT Teams to ensure alignment with objectives and manages routines and requests
  • Manage and drive production of consistent and appropriate documentation for routines for Technology Executives and business partners
  • Partner with Executives on managing their BAU expenses and governing their initiative portfolio, ensuring visibility of project progress against objectives and tracking decisions/approvals to forecast changes
  • Drive strategies to effectively manage spend, ensuring the proper blend of resources (FTE, GBS, Contractor & Consulting), manage tenure, and governance of staff ramps
  • Develop robust and consistent communication and engagement plans for the executives and teams supported
  • Understand the linkage of programs and projects to business strategy and portfolio priorities; ensure roadmaps are translated into robust delivery milestones



Requirements:

  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and executive presence
  • Advanced/Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Extremely organized/excellent time management skills with ability to manage and prioritize competing priorities
  • Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations that synthesize data and tell the story
  • Ability to develop comprehensive plans around key organizational priorities and ensure all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities and are held accountable
  • Thorough knowledge of the department or business units functional area or products
  • Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices
  • Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal outcomes



Desired skills:

  • 5 or more years of experience in business operations and management in a complex organization supporting senior leaders
  • Prior experience handling multiple facets of an end-to-end business: financial management, project management, governance, operations and technology management, and executive routine coordination
  • Strong analytical skills, with an investigative mindset and ability to use data to enhance efficiency and develop reporting to drive business insights
  • Strong partnership and relationship management skills; ability to work and effectively communicate across functions and organizational lines/levels
  • Prior experience managing multiple projects and adjusting to changing deadlines
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to present key messages, effective recommendations, and information in a clear, concise, insightful, and influential way

Pay range: $55.15 - $63.15

Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
