MDOT Printer - State Temporary
This is a temporary position. Temporary positions offer some paid leave and may offer partially subsidized state health benefits.
OPEN RECRUITMENT This position will consist of entry level printing and production work for the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration (MDOT MVA). Employees in this position will operate MVA's offset (high-volume) printing equipment and other basic print shop machinery, including cutting, binding, and mounting machinery. Employees are responsible for replacing paper, fixing jams, and adjusting settings for various production jobs. In addition, the employee will keep the print shop clean and organized, maintain inventory, coordinate pick-up and delivery, and utilize hand tools, such as X-acto knives and rulers. If you're organized, willing to learn, and unafraid of basic machinery, this is a job for you! Employees receive training and general supervision from the Print Shop Supervisor. Work is normally performed in a printshop and involves exposure to varying levels of noise from printing or duplicating devices, and exposure to printing solvents. The work requires some physical exertion such as sustained operation of printing devices, standing for extended periods, and lifting or transporting of heavy objects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the operation, adjustment, and maintenance of offset printing machines or high-speed digital and analog duplicators.
