Actuarial Analyst

Location: Sydney

Type: Permanent, full-time position

The opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Actuarial professional to join one of Australia's leading insurers in the role of Actuarial Analyst across our Workers Compensation product.

We are seeking people to:

  • Support Actuarial Managers with providing value adding performance and reserving insights to divisional and Group colleagues

  • Perform monthly BAU tasks and other Actuarial analysis as required

  • Support ongoing actuarial claims performance monitoring to provide insights to the business.

  • Be the 'go-to person' for data analysis and support to senior Actuarial professionals, enabling the team to provide meaningful insights to the business

  • Support QBE's annual budgeting cycle, and provide ongoing analysis to support financial reforecasts of QBE's P&L.

  • Continuously seek process improvement and be part of the QBE Actuarial modernisation journey

Your story so far

  • You're an Actuarial professional with experience within general insurance

  • You enjoy analysing data and using actuarial judgement to provide meaningful insights to the business, enabling us to manage a profitable portfolio of insurance products.

  • You are an exceptional communicator and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders across a broader organisation to collaborate and achieve success.

  • Ability to extract, analyse and interpret data from several sources and resolve complex issues
