At work in over 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities to restore safety, dignity and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: Our Health Promotion team is collaborating with our Afghan Youth Mentorship team to bring Art Therapy and our "Chai and Chat" programs to the Pashto-speaking female community! We are currently looking for 1-2 female Pashto-speakers to support us in this initiative. RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend monthly/bi-monthly in-person Art Therapy and Chai-and-Chat events in our office in Glendale, CA Provide Pashto interpretation/translation between clients and instructors/caseworkers REQUIREMENTS: FLUENT PASHTO/ENGLISH speaker REQUIRED Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present information clearly and compassionately to people from various backgrounds. Organizational Skills: Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Cultural Sensitivity: The ability to interact with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds in a respectful and professional manner.
