Shipping Coordinator

The Warehouse Coordinator will coordinate the activities and operations of the warehouse. Includes working with all warehouse and production team members to ensure accuracy of warehouse inventory.

Essential Functions:



  1. Regular attendance to assigned shifts.
  2. Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  3. Implements daily production and shipping plan.
  4. Manages daily flow of finished products.
  5. Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  6. Files freight claims.
  7. Directs forklift drivers to store goods in identified areas.
  8. Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
  9. Operates forklift truck as needed.
  10. Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  11. Production scheduler.
  12. Create and ship transfer orders.
  13. Performs other related duties as directed by warehouse manager and supervisors.


Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.


Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.



  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
  • Must be able to problem-solve.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and management.
  • Knowledge of machinery will be needed to perform job.
  • Self-managing with organization and time management skills.
  • Able to use word and excel proficiently.
  • Able to use AX and WMS system.
  • Reading, writing and basic math skills



Education and Experience:



  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • One (2) year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment



Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in warm environments
  • Hearing and vision ability.
