Your Job

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD), a Koch Company, is seeking a talented Senior Piping Designer to join our team at our headquarters in Katy, TX. As a senior designer at OPD, you will be responsible for all piping design aspects from kickoff to project closeout. You will interact with internal engineering teams and our client during the development of the 3D modeling.

What You Will Do

• Plot Plan layout and development using Engineering comments and P&IDs.
• 3D Piping Design using Cadworx Plant
• Extract isometric drawings as dictated by project requirements.
• Maintain high quality of piping drawings and reliability of piping systems design.
• Provide follow-up to ensure all piping systems/drawings have been completed.
• Manage and incorporate spec deviations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ability to work within a design team environment.
• Ability to be resourceful and flexible in approaches to solving issues.
• Lead model reviews internal and external clients.
• Make site visits as required to verify dimensions, check piping constructability, and provide support to OPD design/field crews and clients.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience leading the piping design efforts on a project.
• Able to perform vendor document review.
• Experience leading model reviews with the Client.
• Knowledge of industry standards ASME, ASTM, API.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience using AutoCAD design software (i.e. CADWORX).
• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
