Our client, a leading North American manufacturer of industrial lubrication equipment, is looking for an International Representative.
*Description* * Manage related systems and Export / Import Customs Documentation Compliance * Support Trade Lane implementations of Import / Export flows (e.g. working closely with Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Customs, Shipping Warehouse and Receiving Unit * Responsible to operate compliant Import and Export Customs procedures and requirements * Map and document Customs Compliance Processes, Procedures and Work Instructions * Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements * Coordinate and maintain customs clearance processes for unit's imported products into USA * Activities include: coordinate daily customs activities, broker management, check entries for accuracy, validate entries to determine duty and fees owed, freight forwarder management, ensure export documentation is compliant * Report and reconcile duty and fees with internal accounting, as required * Manage and prepare Preferential Origin Certificates and Certificates of Origin * Maintain internal Customs data, including products / tariff classifications, updating information, deleting obsolete information, purging documents, and archiving files * Determine the Customs Tariff (HTS) coding for incoming products * Troubleshoot Customs issues and internal Customs system problems * Manage and coordinate Customs programs (e.g. C-TPAT, etc.) as applicable * Attend seminars and courses to keep abreast of current and future Customs and Importing / Exporting compliance changes *Skills & Qualifications* * Minimum 4-year Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, related field or comparable International Trade Services experience * Excellent operational knowledge of US Customs regulations around Importing /Exporting * Excellent knowledge in US general trade compliance matters affecting Importers /Exporters * General knowledge of business functions around international trade, including Purchasing, Transportation, Warehousing and Port procedures * Minimum 5 years of Logistics / International Trade experience. * Demonstrated success in process management experience. * Operational Lead or Supervisory position with Customhouse Broker or Freight Forwarder. * Customs Compliance Specialist (CCS) preferred. * Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) Customs Broker License is a plus * Prior knowledge or experience in Lubrication products and systems is a plus *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
