Function: HV Engineering Requisition ID: 1032468 Job Overview: Solution Engineer will be responsible for development and support of Hitachi iQ Infrastructure solutions with a focus on Spark, Flink, NoSQL, AI ML/DL, and distributed database software. The candidate will work on developing the solutions as well as training the Go-To-Market teams for the delivery and support of the solutions to Hitachi Vantara customers. Job Functions: * Plan, design, implement, test, document, and support Hitachi iQ Infrastructure solutions in the lab. * Develop and deliver test plans, lab reports, technical presentations, and white papers to promote the Hitachi Vantara solutions. * Deliver proof-of-concept configurations and analysis to be demonstrated and presented to internal stakeholders and customers. * Support, assist, and consult with all levels of Hitachi Vantara, including Account Executives, Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Support, VP, etc, through delivery of technical presentations and reports. Primary Qualifications: Technical Skills: * 3 years of experience in designing and building complex integrated solutions. * 5+ years of experience working in Linux/Unix environments. * Linux Operating system installation, configuration, troubleshooting, tuning, etc. is a must. * VMware and Kubernetes (or OpenShift Container Platform) experience is a must. * Good understanding of Big Data Analytics Ecosystem (Spark, etc.) * Good understanding of AI Machine Learning / Deep Learning hardware and software is a plus. * Good understanding of NoSQL database such as Splunk and MongoDB is a plus. * Good hardware knowledge and hands-on experience in servers, storage systems, and IP & SAN switches are a plus * Good understanding of agile development processes and documentation is a plus * Development experience with Python and UNIX shell scripting is a plus * System testing experience is a plus General Skills: * A team player and fast technology adoption is a must. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Excellent problem solver and ability to work independently. * Able to work and communicate with senior engineers and executives. * Leadership and project management roles will be assigned for tasks and projects as required. * Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: * * Tier Two Location (including Colorado): $107,000 - $153,000 * * The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
