JOB SUMMARY: As the Hand Cutter 2, you will be responsible for utilizing a variety of hand tools to apply a final finish to complex granite materials according to production ticket specifications. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Reading production tickets and determining hand-finishing work that needs to be completed Using a tape measure, pattern, and square to layout the stone Laying out and shaping complicated contoured granite material using grinders and skilled saws Applying multiple finishes such as VM, Bush hammer, 4-cut, Corduroy, etc. Using a torch to apply hand thermal Grinding and blunting the edges of the stone with a diamond die grinder Utilizing various power and hand tools to cut and finish the granite tone; Cleaning stone as required; may require the use of solvents Operating various cranes and lifting devices to move stones as needed SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric Must have good hand-eye coordination Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Mechanically inclined General math skills Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed ADDITIONAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifts 30-50 lbs. occasionally Stands the entire shift Wears all personal protective equipment as assigned MAKE YOUR MARK AND MAKE IT LAST If you are an individual with a disability and require a reasonable accommodation to complete any part of the application process, or are limited in the ability or unable to access or use this online application process and need an alternative method for applying, please call or text Karissa Lintgen at 320-685-4681 or email Karissa at klintgen@coldspringusa.com for assistance.
