Position Overview:

The Project Management Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Engineering department, specifically assisting with large-scale infrastructure rebuild projects. The intern will be responsible for supporting project planning, tracking, and reporting activities. The intern will play a key role in monitoring timelines, updating project documentation, and coordinating with engineering and field personnel.

  • This opportunity offers the flexibility to work on a hybrid schedule based out of Astound's Bethlehem, PA office.



A Day in the Life of the Project Management Intern:



  • Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining project tracking tools.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of daily and weekly project status reports.
  • Utilize spreadsheets and Gantt charts to track progress, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and meeting notes.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other stakeholders to gather updates and ensure accuracy of project data.
  • A major system modernization initiative upgrading legacy coaxial cable systems to advanced communication infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned.



What You Bring to the Table:



  • Prior experience with Gantt chart tools and basic project scheduling concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.



Education:



  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.



Compensation:

The base compensation for this position is $20.00 per hour. The base pay represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job.
