JOB MISSION:

New Balance is looking for a Principal Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join an agile team charged with digitizing our manufacturing workflow. In this role you will help lead a team building modern full stack applications, data pipelines and IoT solutions that empowers our product development and manufacturing operations. Your solutions will be running on our Azure Cloud infrastructure as containerized workloads. Your work will directly impact the lives of our manufacturing teams by delivering delightful user experiences and workflow efficiencies.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Design & develop across full software stack from backend API microservices to ReactJS front ends.

  • Collaborate with the product owner and be a technical lead for team of engineers to translate complex requirements and problems into solution components.

  • Ensure the quality and performance of applications through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD processes and performance optimization.

  • Implement robust, maintainable code with focus on ensuring code quality and promoting best practices.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

  • Research new technologies, execute proof of concepts, and provide technology recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or software development with at least 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in building and maintaining Single Page Applications using React, Typescript

  • Strong knowledge in Java framework and microservicesarchitecture using Spring Boot

  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.

  • Experience building cloud-native software on cloud platforms.

  • Solid understanding of database design and management.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Flexible Work Schedule
