The Business Analytics Manager is a dynamic, strategic, and technically proficient leader responsible for driving Rumpke's business intelligence (BI) and analytics strategy. This role oversees the development of a robust analytics infrastructure, reporting capabilities, and data-driven decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will define the vision, roadmap, and technical requirements necessary to elevate Rumpke's analytics function while engaging with executive stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights. A strong background in business analytics, data architecture, and leadership at the enterprise level is essential.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Develop and execute the enterprise-wide BI and analytics strategy to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the design, development, and management of analytics infrastructure, including data warehouses, visualization tools, and self-service BI capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Partner with executive leadership and business units to understand strategic goals and develop analytical solutions to drive performance improvements.
  • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization through training, advocacy, and best practices.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of BI tools and platforms, ensuring scalability and alignment with business needs.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts, data engineers, and BI professionals.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance Rumpke's analytics capabilities.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of analytics initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in business analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and data engineering technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, cloud-based data warehouses).



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related functions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience in a complex, data-driven business environment, ideally in an enterprise-scale organization.
  • Experience in the waste management, logistics, or environmental services industry.



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs.
  • Continuously sitting/standing/walking in an office environment.



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
