Come work with a diverse group of individuals and assist adventure-seeking customers in exploring Maricopa County's Parks. In this role, you will knowledgeably explain the various attractions the park holds and feel good knowing you enhanced the client experience! Note: This position requires availability Monday-Friday, 5 AM-9 PM during the summer and 6 AM-8 PM during the winter. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required. Flexibility is essential. We Require
Six months of customer service/public contact experience High school diploma or GED A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions
Assists with park operations and customer service needs, including informing the public of various park amenities, trails, special use permit processes, and event planning. Works cooperatively and professionally with the public and other County employees, including groups of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds Explains park rules and policies, ensuring proper use of park facilities by the public Assists with fee collection and revenue, including but not limited to, collecting various park fees via Contact Station (Entry Station), Nature Center, Self-Pay Stations, and other areas. As required, prepares necessary financial reports and completes bank deposits Helps park maintenance and custodian staff with daily tasks or projects as needed Assists with ongoing animal care, Nature Center and other park displays, and park information kiosks throughout the park facility Completes minor trail repair as needed Provides oversight of various service-type projects conducted by volunteer groups, conservation crews or other service organizations Educate the public about the natural and cultural resources within the park through informal visitor contact
Working Conditions
Park setting working in close physical proximity with the public Ability to work in outdoor climates with temperatures regularly over 100 degrees Fahrenheit Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays May require regular vehicle travel between off-site locations, including other Maricopa County Parks or within the same park, of distances greater than 1 mile Valid Arizona driver's license required, upon hire
