The Town of Needham is seeking passionate individuals to fill the part-time position of Administrative/Office Support Specialist with the Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone (SHINE) Program. The individual in this role will provide administrative assistance and operational support to the SHINE Program Coordinator, SHINE Assistant Program Coordinator, and the MetroWest SHINE Program as a whole. Anticipated Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 am-3:30 pm (flexibility on occasion to provide support for presentations and community events) This position is part-time, non-exempt, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week. This is a temporary position through June 30, 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities

These duties are a summary and not all inclusive:
- Assists in scheduling and coordinating operational needs for monthly SHINE counselor meetings.
- Helps to develop relevant training materials and researches program and service delivery methods.
- Supports the monitoring and evaluation of programs and services; conveys information to the SHINE Program Coordinator and SHINE Assistant Program Coordinator.
- Maintains program records in a confidential manner and assists SHINE Program Coordinator and SHINE Assistant Program Coordinator in preparing required reports.
- Triages incoming calls relating to counselors' inquiries and consumer requests for assistance, escalating when necessary.
- Provides administrative support for community presentations on Medicare issues.
- Provides effective and efficient customer service and promotes and maintains responsive community relations with program participants and community partners.

Requirements
-
The following requirements may be substituted by any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job:
- Completion of four (4) years of high school or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience
- Comfortable using standard office equipment including computers and relevant software programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
