Job Description
At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our talented team at our project site near Lexington, Kentucky. In this role, you will perform activities associated with project-related capital procurement and contracts administration of equipment, trade subcontracts, materials, and professional services. You will also be responsible for project-specific subcontracts and purchase orders (POs), expediting, shipping, and receipt documentation. Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure subcontractors and vendors are qualified to IPS and client standards, and research new qualified subcontractors and vendors as needed.
- Create and maintain procurement plans, prepare and issue bid packages, condition bidders, and arrange and attend pre-bid and scope confirmation meetings.
- Prepare preliminary and final commercial bid tabulations, develop, and submit Recommendations for Award (RFAs), and issue bid award letters and letters of regret.
- Receive and process requisitions from our Procurement Managers, on behalf of the project team.
- Confirm that suppliers have accepted orders and, working with our expeditors and logistics managers, ensure the supplier is progressing according to the agreed schedule to meet critical deliveries.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- 2 years' experience in procurement on capital design/construction projects.
- Knowledge and experience of trade contracts and equipment procurement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry environment (pharmaceutical, bio-tech, nuclear, oil & gas, aviation, etc.), supply chain management and/or construction administration.
CSCP or CPSM certification. - Procore proficiency.
Safety
- Work environment is at home remote or office-based in one of our regional offices.
- You will need to complete a variety of web-based training modules via the IPS Learning Management System.
- This position, when visiting or working from a client-site, is a safety sensitive position.
- OSHA -10, and client-specific safety training, is required if the employee attends activities at client sites.
- This position requires minimal travel which may include visits to construction project sites to meet with project team members and suppliers.
