The Manufacturing Systems Specialist will enhance user experiences across Penumbra's Manufacturing systems and execute initiatives under the guidance of Manufacturing Operations.
The individual will work closely with IT and Manufacturing stakeholders (Production, Quality, Engineering) and other developers to translate business user needs into functional, user-friendly solutions.
The area of work involves creating dynamic and informative web content within Manufacturing SharePoint environments to build employee awareness of cross functional Penumbra Manufacturing systems.
This position requires an on-site presence to collaborate, plan and execute events.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
* Communicate and maintain timelines and priorities for Manufacturing system enhancement projects.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing stakeholders and developers to understand business objectives and user requirements.
* Become familiar with Penumbra Manufacturing Systems such as Manufacturing Hub, Master Control, OpsCenter, Manufacturing Pulse, Penumbra Red, etc. and help improve their usability
* Present and articulate enhancement decisions, strategies, and concepts to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals
* Plan and conduct usability tests. Gather feedback to refine features and improve overall user experiences.
* Drive enhancements that balance user needs with business objectives
* Stay informed about emerging design trends, tools, and technologies and promote new Manufacturing system ideas and concepts for Manufacturing Systems and design Web content within Manufacturing SharePoint environment to ensure proper brand messaging and visual presence.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of design tools, workflows, and team processes.
* Address complex design challenges with creative, user-friendly solutions
* Craft messaging and assist in pre-event and post-event communications.
* Drive appropriate messaging of events in our internal Manufacturing Hub, online Manufacturing team portal.
* Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and * global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
* Understands relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adheres to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
* Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
* Perform other work-related duties as assigned. *Indicates an essential function of the role
Position Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Strong writing skills, with excellent attention to detail, including grammar, spelling, and math.
* Strong spreadsheet, presentation, and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to maintain flexibility when priorities and deadlines shift
* Experience with social media marketing
* Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness.
Working Conditions:
* General office and warehouse environments
* Ability to work on site.
* Business travel from 50%+
* Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens
* Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds
* Must be able to move between buildings and floors.
* Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day.
* Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets.
* Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.
* Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis
Annual Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $135,000 / year
We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable.
Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
