Job Description

The Accounts Payable Coordinator core function is to enter vendor invoices into the financial system. Additional responsibilities include, but limited to reviewing purchase orders, vendor statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed in accordance with internal accounting policies. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will also support the invoice capture process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, prioritize, code, and enter invoices into the financial system
  • Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
  • Perform two or three-way match on invoices.
  • Assist in ad-hoc Accounts Payable functions and tasks as requested.
  • Provide support and training to fellow Accounts Payable Specialists and Analysts.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our vendors, staff and customers.
  • Researching and resolving vendor statement discrepancies and issues.
  • Monitor and address inquires sent to the department mailboxes.
  • Assist in mailing of weekly checks, answering phone calls & vendor voicemails as needed.
  • Performing full cycle processing including coding, matching, batching, verifying & reconciling transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent business experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting
  • 1 plus years of experience in Finance & Accounting - Accounts Payable
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP Accounting & Accounts Payable Principles.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Exposure to invoice exception management.
  • Ability to adapt to changes with positive outlook and suggest improvements.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and under strict guidelines.
  • Customer service experience.
