Description and Requirements

Position Overview:
The Principal AI Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Lenovo's AI adoption product strategy and driving innovation across the organization. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and delivering AI-driven applications that align with Lenovo's global business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in AI/ML, coupled with exceptional product management and strategic planning skills to lead Lenovo's AI product initiatives to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy and Vision:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive AI product strategy that aligns with Lenovo's global business goals.
    • Identify opportunities for AI adoption across Lenovo's businesses.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and ensure alignment with market trends and business needs.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with business leaders, product teams, and technical experts to translate business needs into actionable AI products.
    • Collaborate with global teams to ensure alignment with Lenovo's AI strategy and best practices.
  3. Product Development and Launch:
    • Oversee the end-to-end AI product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
    • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
    • Ensure seamless integration of AI technologies into Lenovo's businesses.
  4. Market Analysis and User Insights:
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, business needs, and competitive landscape in the AI space.
    • Analyze user feedback and usage data to inform product improvements and innovation.
  5. AI Product Ecosystem Development:
    • Build and manage partnerships with AI technology providers, developers, and ecosystem players to enhance Lenovo's AI adoption.
    • Drive the development of AI-driven solutions that integrate seamlessly with Lenovo's existing applications.
  6. Team Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to AI/ML teams to ensure high-quality product development.
  7. Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of AI product initiatives.
    • Regularly report on progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in product management, with a strong focus on AI/ML. Proven track record of leading the development and launch of successful AI-driven products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies (e.g., machine learning, NLP, computer vision) and familiarity with AI tools and platforms. Strong understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience in the technology or hardware industry is preferred.
  • Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Others: Strong problem-solving skills, a results-oriented mindset, and experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
