About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Software Engineering Manager who can foster and guide a team of dedicated front end engineers. This role has opportunities to help craft the future of our platform experiences on console and other devices. The position requires a good balance of technical knowledge to lead discussions when required and soft skills to support the needs of the team. In addition, having a keen sense of ownership and the tenacity to make difficult decisions when prioritizing opposing needs.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor and grow your team to achieve their professional goals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (product, design and engineering) across different timezones and backgrounds to deliver against common goals, vision, strategy and roadmaps
  • Lead multiple projects. Estimate, plan, and slice projects to frequently deliver value to production
  • Act as a change agent, initiating appropriate changes to support continuous business improvement
  • Identify and effectively communicate resourcing or capacity needs
  • Address bottlenecks and roadblocks for your team
  • Participate in technical solutioning with the team when needed


Required Qualifications

  • BS or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Proven success in building and leading engineering teams with experience in development and management
  • Ability to identify and balance out priorities across multiple projects
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to present sophisticated technical information to non-technical leaders
  • Ability to guide technical discussions and decisions
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • Prior experience with front end development as an engineer


Bonus

  • Experience with a matrix reporting structure
  • Familiarity with React or React Native

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

In addition, this role

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$195,500 $293,300 USD
