Your Role

The Enterprise Portfolio Value Office (EPVO), a function of the Enterprise Strategy & Innovation organization, is responsible for ensuring Blue Shield of California delivers our enterprise goals and strategic priorities and attaining business value through portfolio initiatives Lean Portfolio Management and Value Management industry best practices.

The Strategic Planning and Performance Principal will report to the Senior Manager. In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing initiatives on our capability roadmap and supporting our planning processes. This role will be a liaison between portfolio leaders and other enterprise teams. Our team focuses on building capabilities through collaboration and influence, partnering across the entire organization. Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience in lean portfolio management, project management and agile delivery
  • Requires a proven track record of company-wide contributions
  • Requires accountability, adaptability, and experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams to meaningful results
  • Requires strong capability to interpret data trends and translate them into strategic action plans that drive measurable value
  • Understanding of business organization and culture and the ability to think conceptually and design solutions through collaboration
  • Prior experience leading strategic planning, enterprise roadmap development, and advising engagements with and for senior leadership strongly preferred
