Job Summary

The Enterprise Applications team is seeking a Quality Engineer to help ensure the reliability

and performance of high-visibility, enterprise capabilities that support our diverse software

landscape. This role focuses on quality assurance across the full technology stack, promoting

quality at every stage of the software development lifecycle. As a key contributor to our

enterprise technology platform, you'll help drive business value by championing quality-first

practices, implementing automated testing strategies, and ensuring our solutions meet the

highest standards. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values craftsmanship, innovation,

and the creation of best-in-class experiences for our engineering community.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days/week). Candidates who are located within 50 miles of a West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Experience testing applications built with .NET and RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with API specifications and testing practices (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, contract testing)
  • Proficiency in automated unit, integration, and regression testing using .NET
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to validate builds, deployments, and releases in cloud environments
  • Strong focus on quality craftsmanship, advocating for best practices in testability, maintainability, and reliability
  • Deep understanding of Shift-Left testing principles-actively collaborating with key stakeholders to define quality earlier in the development lifecycle
  • Ability to lead and drive QA phases, including test planning, execution oversight, issue tracking, and stakeholder alignment

Practical Experience With One Or More Of The Following:

  • Applying Shift-Left testing practices to drive earlier detection of defects through collaboration and test-driven development
  • Facilitating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in partnership with business stakeholders, including issue triage and test coordination
  • Testing in cloud-based environments (preferably Microsoft Azure), including distributed systems and microservice interactions
  • Supporting quality for AI/LLM solutions, including prompt validation, output testing, and edge case coverage in RAG or Semantic Kernel-based applications
  • Working with event-driven architectures, such as Azure Service Bus or NServiceBus, and validating asynchronous workflows

Salary Statement

The salary range for this position is $77,000 - $131,000/yr

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.Compensation decisions are made by West Bend and are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
