We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Fire Alarm Installer to join our team. The primary role will be to install, program, and repair fire alarm systems in various types of buildings.
Responsibilities: * Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions to determine the best location for fire alarm equipment. * Install, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring they are in working order and compliant with safety standards. * Conduct tests to evaluate the functionality of fire alarm systems and components. * Perform regular maintenance on fire alarm systems, including cleaning and replacing parts as necessary. * Identify and correct malfunctions or faults in fire alarm systems. * Provide training and instruction to building owners or managers on the use and maintenance of fire alarm systems. * Ensure all work is completed to code and inspect installations for conformance with legal and safety requirements. * Prepare and maintain records related to installations, inspections, and maintenance activities. * Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system malfunctions. * Collaborate with electricians or other construction professionals as needed during the installation process *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Minimum of High School Diploma / Vocational Training. Nice to have FASA/BASA and OSHA Cert. Must have a mastery knowledge of troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems; fire is also needed for this position. Must have a working knowledge to full understanding of local / national codes. Must have a mastery knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
