Title: Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Maintenance and OHS Manager
Location: Kent, WA - onsite
Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule Type: Monday - Friday, Day Shift. Ability to work overtime as needed - including weekend support.
Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.)
Position Summary
Employees in this position are responsible for safely performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to, predictive and proactive maintenance systems and processes to support the company's business goals and production and facility maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of duties in multiple disciplines (i.e. electrical, PLC, plumbing, etc.) install and maintain plant facility and production equipment.
- Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment to quickly restore production capability.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, designing, building, and repairing.
- Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Read and properly interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Build racks using appropriate metal for processing parts through chemical tanks.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose and research problems, brainstorm and develop potential solutions, test, adjust, and successfully solve the problem.
- Must be able to document fixes and repairs on CMMS software to allow effective communication for future failures/PMs.
- Develop solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Excellent accuracy with a strong attention to detail and demonstrated teamwork attitude.
- Ability to use and learn tools and techniques to solve tactical and strategic problems and issues arising in this position.
- Must have the ability to read, write and communicate in English - including the ability to read written purchase orders and paperwork.
- Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license may be required to work in all areas of the facility.
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- 5+ years of industrial equipment maintenance skills.
- Manufacturing experience including strong electrical, mechanical, PLC, HVAC, Metal Fabrication and industrial skills.

Hearing protection required when working some areas of the facility. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and fumes from metal finishing chemicals. Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and respirator (provided by Company).

Salary Range for position: $26.28 - $45.00. Position in the range depends upon experience level.
