Senior Information Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Engineer with extensive cloud experience to join our Cyber Defense Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security and a deep understanding of securing cloud environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our organization's cloud infrastructure and data.

This role is a fully remote position within the United States.

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments.

• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in the cloud.

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud security.

• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.

• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.

• Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to cloud security.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud security.
• Candidate must be able to obtain Government Suitability.
• Experience in engineering security controls within multi-cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with both native and 3^rd party security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in compliance and frameworks (i.e. CMMC and FedRAMP).
• Candidate must possess or be willing to pursue applicable professional/technical certifications such as CCSP.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent are preferred.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
