Job Overview:

This classification is responsible for professional Children's Services program development and administrative work of unusual difficulty and supervisory work of average difficulty. An employee in this class provides central office program direction and technical consultation to field staff for a very large statewide program of greater scope. This classification may supervise employees in the DCS Program Director 2 classification.

Key Responsibilities:

Attending quarterly leadership meetings to share policy updates, plans for policy implementation, and address practice trends.

Providing guidance to frontline management in executing supervisory responsibilities and building capacity of frontline professionals to fully engage in best casework practices.

Attending weekly huddles to provide support to the Deputy Commissioner, ACs, and regional Executive Directors Ensuring casework is grounded in the agency's Practice Wheel Identifying key areas for improvement or growth, developing strategic initiatives to address them, and aligning these initiatives with the agency's overall vision.

Serving on policy workgroups and assisting with policy development Analyze new policies, developing detailed implementation plans, assigning tasks to relevant regional operations teams, and monitoring progress to ensure policies are effectively adopted across regional operations.

CFSR/PIP Implementation Leading cross-functional teams in executing strategic initiatives, setting timelines, and tracking progress against key performance indicators.

Review cases to identify barriers and consult with regional leaders.

Maintaining a level of practice consistency throughout the grand region.

Partnering with the data quality team to assess the effectiveness of implemented policies and strategic initiatives, and present findings to senior leadership.

Permanency Plan

Review Perm Plan Monthly report.

Participate in Permanency staffing's.

Ensure regional operations responds to constituent complaints timely.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college of university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to seven years of professional work in one or a combination of the following: counseling or case management services, program evaluation, education, auditing, accounting, business/process improvement and/or social services grant coordination. At least five years of this experience must have been in children or juvenile services' program evaluation, case review work, or process improvement (such as LEAN or Six Sigma certification) in any field listed above.
