We're looking for a student who is hands-on, curious, and eager to learn to join our Engineering team. In this Engineering Intern role at Metal Craft, you will help define, develop, and support part-specific processes for products, with guidance from the Engineering Manager and mentor. You will be part of a supportive, hands-on team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and improving how we do things. - Help create and improve processes for specific parts with guidance from management or a mentor
- Write up clear, easy-to-follow documentation for those processes
- Work with Production and Quality teams to find and implement process improvements
- Pitch in on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and material reviews when needed
- Spot areas for improvement and bring ideas to the team
- Take part in regular engineering meetings
- Troubleshoot and provide support on the production floor
- Jump in on other tasks as they come up
- Represent the company values and code of conduct at all times
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's program in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.) and CAD software like SolidWorks
- Willing to learn our M1 Manufacturing Planning system
- Ability to read and interrupt prints that utilize GD&T
- Strong communication and reading comprehension
- Organized and genuinely interested in how things are made
- Able to work well with different teams and departments
