Description

This individual will support R. D. Offutt's unified communications systems. The scope of responsibility includes the support of all R. D. Offutt telephony systems and equipment, associated hardware, software and devices. This position works closely with the service desk for call center and telephony systems and provides technical assistance to R. D. Offutt personnel.

Specific Duties Include:
* Install and maintain telephone-related equipment and call center configuration.
* Provide technical training to end-users or team members as required.
* Monitor the telephony infrastructure ensuring optimal performance.
* Track phone and license inventory while planning for immediate and future growth needs.
* Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
* Make suggestions to end users regarding voice communications software and hardware solutions and troubleshooting.
* Ensure uninterrupted access to all voice telecommunication features, including voicemail, or Contact Center systems.
* Participate in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery exercises for the telephony infrastructure in conjunction with overall company Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery plan.
* Role is expected to utilize learning opportunities to enhance knowledge on leading edge technologies provided by the company; participating in educational opportunities offered as part of the position; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Follow change management processes.
* Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
* Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in specialty or equivalent experience preferred.
* Minimum of 1-2 years' experience supporting enterprise telephony systems.
* Knowledge and/or experience in networking technology, VOIP protocols and telephony hardware.
* Experience is preferred with call center messaging, email and chat solutions.
* Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
